History
Hanson Toliver was a member of the Crimson Sabres during the pirate band's campaign on Novo Tressida within the Magistracy of Canopus in the mid-3060s. Following the Sabres' assassination of Duke Tremain Garson along with the deaths of a number of other people the mercenary command known as Pike's Pikemen were hired to protect the planet and the new Duke, Cornel Garson. When the Pikemen fought the decisive battle against the Crimson Sabres that saved the life of Duke Cornel Garson on the 6th of July 3066 Hanson was the senior Sabre on the field, commanding Sabre Lance. Seven Crimson Sabre 'Mechs were downed by the combined forces of the Pikemen and the Ducal Guard, and Hanson was captured. After the battle Hanson confirmed to his captors that the Sabres' employer was Baron Keith Garson, cousin of Duke Cornel and the second in line to the title.[1]
