History
Cornel Garson was a Duke within the aristocracy of the Magistracy of Canopus during the thirty-first century. Cornel became Duke when the previous Duke, Tremain Garson, was killed along with a number of other people on Novo Tressida by the the pirate band known as the Crimson Sabres. The Pike's Pikemen mercenary command was hired in response to Tremain's death, and to protect both the planet and Cornel.[1]
The Pikemen would be instrumental in protecting Cornel, fighting a key battle on the 6th of July 3066 against the Sabres that resulted in the capture of the pirate Hanson Toliver, who revealed that the Sabres were being funded by Baron Keith Garson, second in line to Tremain's title and cousin to Cornel.[1]
