Owen Hyland was an infantry NCO with the mercenary unit Snord's Irregulars.[1]
History
Hyland was a member of McFinney's Manglers when Captain Melvin McFinney lost a game of cards to Cranston Snord in 3007 and with it his mercenary command, which henceforth became known as Snord's Irregulars.[1][2]
Due to his origin with the Manglers, Hyland never got along with Snord and was therefore regularly assigned to garrison duty. Hyland died on 14 February 3017 during a diversionary strike on Marik forces who had seized the Irregulars base on Clinton. This diversion allowed Thelos Auburn to sneak into the ComStar substation on base and notify Snord in a message of the raid.[1]
