Captain Melvin McFinney was the commander of McFinney's Manglers mercenary unit in the early 31st century.[2]
History
In 3007, McFinney lost a game of cards to Cranston Snord on Crossing thus losing his mercenary command in the process.[3]
That same year, McFinney would be involved in the fighting on the world of Rochelle against the Lyran Commonwealth. McFinney would die during the fighting on world and his death allowed Snord to secure a hold on the remainder of the McFinney's Manglers.[1]

Melvin McFinney piloted a Whitworth BattleMech.[2]
