Permanent Losses is a short story by Aaron Cahall that was first published online on BattleCorps on 4 December 2016 as the sixth and final entry in the Gray Markets series. It was later republished in print in the BattleCorps anthology Gray Markets in 2020.
In hindsight, Permanent Losses turned out to be a fitting title, as it was also the last story to be published via the BattleCorps platform, before the website went offline permanently in mid-2017.
