Great Eagle AgroWorks was a Zhongshan-based corporation.
Overview
Great Eagle AgroWorks was an independent corporation absorbed by Clan Jade Falcon in the Dark Age when Zhongshan was captured from the Lyran Commonwealth. As a lower-caste concern, the Jade Falcons left operations intact and mostly did not interfere. However, the company leadership fled the world, and a worker's union gained control of the company's operations.[1]
With the abandonment of the Jade Falcon Occupation Zone in the early 3150s, Zhongshan became an independent world and was left to its own devices.[2] Great Eagle AgroWorks maintains garrisons across the employee villages scattered among the Pearl River Delta. Wishing to fend off pirate attacks after the abandonment of the Jade Falcon touman, Union leader Laborer Micheal began hiring mercenaries.[1]
The Great Eagle Union was considered "clan sympathizing squatters" by the resurgent Pearl Dragon Mining Corporation, whose property Great Eagle was accused of taking. Pearl Dragon believed destroying Great Eagle's processing plants would bring the Union to negotiate if not dissolution.[3]
