Tomosuki Okudara served in the Twelfth Dieron Regulars during the First Combine-Dominion War in 3062.[1]
History
Tomosuki was born Tomosuki Yoshida, son of the famous Sho-sho Shigeru Yoshida, commander of the First Sword of Light. However, when he came of age, he chose to enter the Sun Tzu School of Combat rather than the Sun Zhang MechWarrior Academy, a decision that enraged his father enough to disown him. In response, Tomosuki took up his mother's family name instead. He had a great-uncle on his mother's side who disliked his father, who celebrated the news by sending him three crates of expensive Black Pearl sake brewed at his Okudara Distillery on Iijima.[1]
Tomosuki would be assigned to the Twelfth in early 3062 on the planet of Kiesen, where he found himself assigned a temporary 'Mech—a decrepit and immobile BattleMaster—until he could receive a new, permanent one. He quickly bonded with the 'Mech's assigned tech and various other technicians and members of the Twelfth by sharing out his received sake or offering it as reward for assistance in the 'Mech's repairs. While he would receive a new Komodo a month later, it turned out to be so incredibly faulty that his superiors would even suspect him and his techs of sabotage so that he could remain with his far heavier assault 'Mech. He would later be absolved by a full inspection of the Komodo, revealing extremely poor production quality during manufacture.[1]
When the Ghost Bears arrived on Kiesen in November 3062, Tomosuki fought alongside the Twelfth in defense of the planet. He earnt much recognition in the New Alps mountain range when he lead a combined-arms force to defeat a Ghost Bear mixed Binary holding a key chokepoint pass, followed by holding the pass amidst numerous counterattacks until the rest of the Twelfth could retreat through it—preventing the unit’s total destruction.[1]
BattleMechs
Tomosuki Okudara piloted a BLR-3M BattleMaster which he named Hikagemono (meaning "Outcast").[1]
