Plot Summary
Told from the viewpoint of Major Tara Lucas, the story narrates how Wolf's Dragoons' famous Zeta Battalion is lost in the Allied Mercenary Command's ill-fated attack on Mars. Weakened from losses during planetfall and against hostile environmental conditions, strong enemy forces, and even orbital bombardment from enemy WarShips, Zeta Battalion nevertheless relentlessly and stubbornly continues the attack, knowing that they cannot turn back.
