Petere was the commanding officer of the 167th Fang Cluster of Clan Steel Viper's Omega Galaxy as of 3067.[2]
History
Star Colonel Petere, serving with the 167th Fang Cluster, was stationed in the Marshall system in 3067.[2]
During the Wars of Reaving, Petere was stationed on Foster when Clan Goliath Scorpion declared its intent to Trial for the Steel Viper enclaves of Firebase Nu and Adele in June 3073. When the 144th Phalanx's Star Colonel Ollos was executed by a former Eridani Light Horse warrior intoxicated on necrosia, the enraged Viper forces declared the Scorpions to be dezgra and annihilated the Twenty-second Scorpion Uhlans. Despite this victory, the 144th Phalanx and 167th Fang—now under Petere's command—could not hold Firebase Nu against the remaining Scorpion forces, leading him to order a withdrawal to the defenses of Adele. In orbit, Khan Ariel Suvorov was unaware of the specific details of the battle and believed that it was the 144th Phalanx that had acted dishonorably, resulting in her ordering an orbital bombardment targeting the Viper forces. With their defenses shattered, the remaining Steel Vipers on Foster were quickly defeated.[1]
