Matthew Allard was the commanding officer of the Dynasty Guard as of 3147.
History
A member of the legendary House Allard-Liao he fought with fierce loyalty to the Capellan Confederation. After the death of Eliza Zhao he was promoted and took command of the Dynasty Guard.
With the loss of Sian the Dynasty Guard was reassigned to protect the Liao royal family. He was one of very few that knew the truth behind the young woman who was revealed to be Pei-Ling Liao-Davion-Cameron at the Cataclysm Star ceremony.
Battlemech
A highly aggressive MechWarrior, Matthew Allard prefers the Yao Lien (YOL-4C). Fast and able to pack a hard punch with a pair of Snub Nose PPCs he can see the field of battle move before his own eyes. The mech's C3 slave gives the rest of his C3 enabled mechs the ability to focus in on the targets he pings directly.
Now as one of the closest protectors to the princess of House Liao, House Davion, and House Cameron, he is never far from Pei-Ling's Tian Zong. Mechs that drift too close to the heir find themselves engulfed in missiles, lasers, and autocannon rounds.
