Lionel Willem-Alexander was a notable company commander in the First Tamarind Regulars during the Dark Age Era.[1]
History
Captain Willem-Alexander was best known for repeatedly dueling with Hauptmann Garrett Bruni of the Third Lyran Regulars over the course of a decade. The first two confrontations between the rival officers occurred during raids, with Willem-Alexander claiming victory both times despite the larger size of Bruni's BattleMech. During Operation HAMMERFALL, Bruni and Willem-Alexander's third clash ended in a draw when the Third Lyran Regulars were forced to retreat from the battle. Their final duel lasted nearly half an hour and concluded when Willem-Alexander, incorrectly gauging the depth of a pond he intended to use as cover, became mired up to the waist and unable to move in the middle of the fight. He was captured after Bruni shot through the rear of his 'Mech and shattered his machine's gyroscope, allowing the two men to meet face-to-face for the first time and to become friends as Willem-Alexander spent time as a prisoner of the Third Regulars.[1]

Captain Lionel Willem-Alexander piloted a Quasimodo Medium BattleMech.[1]
