Andrew McKenna was a MechWarrior who served the Republic of the Sphere[2] and later served the Nomad Republic.[1]
History
His injuries come from a grenade that he jumped on to save other nearby RAF personnel during the Senatorial rebellion. The injuries sustained resulted in scarring and both amputation and replacement of his left arm and leg.
After a period of recovery, he returned to his Lament 3R and trained consistently to get used to his new arm and leg. By the time the Wolves and Falcons reached Earth he was well prepared to fight back. Participating in the defense of the European continent his Lament was well suited for quickly moving between units on the front. Spending time fighting alongside other prominent RAF personnel such as Janella Lakewood he faced both the invading clans.
When the audio log of Alaric's bid of all of Clan Wolf versus all of the RAF went public, showing he actively was in violation of his own clan's honor code Andrew was one of the first waves to hear it.
As the fighting began to show that the RAF was going to inevitably lose the two front war he was chosen as one of the Knights to be evacuated to the fleet that would become known as Nomad Republic. His wife and teenage children were safely evacuated to the top secret LZ and awaited his arrival.
Recalled from an intense area of combat by order of the Exarch he arrived with his Lament in tatters and various injuries. Reunited with his family they departed to the waiting fleet.
Nomad Exodus
After the Nomads left the Sol system he was given a roster of salvaged mechs and those slated for production on the Harmonia and Necessitas. At first some of the captured Clan mechs caught his eye but he could not abandon his Lament that got him through so much. Instead he had his 3R rebuilt into a 2R. [1]
Participating in the Cataclysm battle on New Avalon he was awarded the Cataclysm Star. He is also one of the Knights that has volunteered to participate in the Cameron Guild.[1]
BattleMech
He piloted a LMT-3R Lament.[2] This mech was nearly out of commission upon his arrival to the top secret LZ for RAF personnel.[1]
While with the Nomad Republic fleet his heavily damaged 3R was rebuilt into the LMT-2R.[1]
