History

Formed at some point after 3085, the Seventeenth Wolf Guard Striker Cluster conquered the world of Gallery, wresting it from the Eighth Donegal Guards in 3143. They remained stationed there in 3145[2][3][1]

The Seventeenth took part in the Battle of Terra. Along with the rest of the touman the Seventeenth began their assault on Australia. On 13 January Sydney began being bombarded followed shortly after by high altitude insertion of elements of the Seventeenth into Sydney Olympic Park. The defending First New South Wales Militia moved out of their prepared positions to face this threat only for the remaining elements of the Seventeenth to strike at them from a landward direction. Caught between the two forces, Sir Edwyn Tiew ordered the First to board freighters in the Sydney Harbor and flee to the South Pacific. Rear guard elements charged the Wolves but failed to break their lines. Two members of the First were taken bondsmen and assigned to garrison Redoubt Sydney which had incorporated the Botany Bay Castle Brian.[4][5][6]

Later in the campaign the Seventeenth was specifically noted for their actions in the fight for Paris. They surrounded a small pocket of Republic of the Sphere forces that refused to surrender, and together with the Second Wolf Assault Cluster brought down Paladin Janella Lakewood who then ordered the surrender of RAF forces in the Paris region.[7]

The Seventeenth specializes against their favored foe, the Free Worlds League. Their coordination often allows them to overrun their foes before they can react. They strictly adhere to the Clan codes of honor like zellbrigen.[5]
