Flight Captain Irina Tripolskaya was an aerospace fighter pilot, who served first the Magistracy of Canopus and later the Holt's Hilltoppers mercenary unit, during the mid thirty-first century.[1]
History
Magistracy of Canopus
A native of the Magistracy, who grew up in that nation together with her younger brother Sergei Tripolskaya, Irina eventually became an elite aerospace fighter pilot with the Magistracy Armed Forces. In this role, she served alongside Holt's Hilltoppers in the late 3050s in the New Colony Region, during one of their first contracts after going mercenary.
Several years later, these connections served Irina well, after a dispute with her commanding officer became violent. Defecting from the Magistracy rather than face punishment, Irina together with supporters including her brother and the crew of an Invader-class JumpShip and an Overlord-class DropShip, left to join the Hilltoppers.[1]
Holt's Hilltoppers
Accepted into the Hilltoppers, their CO George Holt placed Irina in charge of his units' aerospace assets, and made her third in command of the Hilltoppers as a whole. Her aerospace contingent included the fleet assets she had defected with, which she had renamed the Pride of Hardcore and Vixen-Bound.[1]
On being appointed to his role, Irina replaced the previous Hilltopper aerospace CO John Hamrahan, who accepted demotion to serve under her.[2] During her tenure with the Hilltoppers, through to at least 3068, Irina commanded her aerospace forces from Arrow Flight.[3][4]

Tripolskaya was known to have piloted a Lightning medium aerospace fighter.[1]
