Yusuf ibn Ayyub was the executive officer of the Com Guard Seventh Army in the mid-3050s under Precentor Karina Vista. Ayyub was promoted to command of the Seventh after Vista's defection to the Word of Blake, fighting a losing battle to maintain morale among those troops remaining in the Army.[1]
