Yuri Agamato was a Republic of the Sphere 'MechWarrior and later a Dragon's Fury short-lived member.[1]

History

Yuri Agamato was member from a former Draconis Combine family which, after the creation of the Republic of the Sphere refused to be relocated elsewhere. They stayed inside the RAF, secretly loyal to the Combine. Yuri joined the Republic's armed forces, becoming an active MechWarrior. After the Blackout, loyal to his family's roots, he defected with his 'Mech and joined Katana Tormark and her Dragon's Fury. He reached the rank of Sho-ko in The Brotherhood, and participated in some raids for the Fury, without seeing actual fighting, until, the 29 July 3134, was part of a Fury's lance to launch a raid against Sadachbia, to steal supplies. He had one BattleMech of two, alongst with two MODs of Industrial Mechs under the command of Chu-i Amir Hadi, but before arriving at the target, they were engaged by a mysterious Highlander IIC, which easily destroyed one MOD, and caused another pilot to defect. Yuri attempted to fight, but he is downed too. The mysterious female pilot, which made herself be called the Banshee of Sadachbia, and was clearly a member of the Northwind Highlanders, forced Yuri to open his cockpit and gave him a capsule with a message which he had to give to Tormak, and leaves him depart. Yuri later delivered the message to Katana Tormark, who expelled him from the Dragon's Fury, blaming him for the defeat, leaving him dispossessed. Agamato later abandoned the Dragon's Fury. Feeling himself cursed, he carried a heavy burden and only wanted to get rid of it. He had always the Banshee's capsule which once contained the message. He travelled around the Inner Sphere searching for a place of get rid of it. Finally, on the 23 May 3136, while on Solaris VII, he heard talk about the Cracked Canopy, a MechWarrior's bar on Solaris City, with the Memory Wall, so he went there to leave the capsule on the bar, and only for that, he explains his history to the bartender Jonathan. Yuri wanted to give the capsule to free himself from that curse... but when Jonathan cleans the item, before putting it to the Wall, he uncovered a inscription where the Banshee swears she always will be with Yuri, showing she knew his name, a thing he believed impossible. That broke Yuri's confidence, and he decided to abandon his plans to return to a 'Mech's cockpit.[2]
