The Willy Pete Gangers were a minor criminal gang operating in the Alarion Province.[1]
History
The group wanted to steal a BattleMech purely for fun. Led by Pete "Willy-Pete" Williams, they managed a daring theft of several Bowie Electronics 'Mechs—ones Bowie were using as testing platforms for various types of proprietary equipment and partially assembled weapon prototypes. This led Bowie to suspect they were operatives for one of their competitors, and they hired a mercenary unit off-the-books to conduct retaliatory raids on locations where Pete Williams had been previously employed. He was gunned down on Kostinbrod and his accomplices were captured, effectively ending the short tenure of the Gangers.[1]
