Image Categories

Hi Nic,

Do you know how the system maps are generated? All those images don't have a category and this makes the Uncategorized files not very useful as from the first 1000 thousand maybe 95% images as these ones. And I do not want to put them in a category as this might affect the "program" that generates them. Do you know who can help? Maybe when the image is generated it can be put in a category like "System Images". I'm asking more people, but do you have any idea?--Pserratv (talk) 04:23, 8 March 2021 (EST)

Yep, they're generated as part of the Planets/Mapping project. I upload the images with a bot, and I'll take care of categorizing them. Thanks! Nicjansma (talk) 09:41, 17 March 2021 (EDT)

Could I recommend that we go with "System maps" rather than planet images because we are actually starting to build up a few planetary maps and planet images now thanks to the Touring the Stars (series).--Dmon (talk) 10:05, 17 March 2021 (EDT)

Rebecca "Spreadsheet" Taylor

Excuse me Nic, never done this before, but how do I get Rebecca "Spreadsheet" Taylor added to the Canon character's page? She's my late fiance and in Rec guide 12 Livewire2112 (talk) 21:14, 12 May 2021 (EDT)

Hello, Livewire. I am reasonably sure that if the character is canon (I don't have #12 yet), they will be added in some fashion. However, if you want to prime the pump a bit, and are not familiar with wikis, I'd recommend opening a similar character (maybe from an earlier Guide) and starting an article named Rebecca Taylor, copying all the stuff (text & code) over into the new article, changing everything that doesn't pertain and adding what is needed. Some other Editor will be sure to follow behind and correct any mistakes or add needed info. Potential issue in File:Götterdämmerung (system) 3151.svg

Hi Nik,

While reviwing images without category, I found out this one File:Götterdämmerung (system) 3151.svg, which had no category nor information unlike the rest. I remember you have the "macro" that creates them and prepares them and adds a category because I asked this to help clean the "Uncategorized Files" page. No idea why this one got nuts. I added the information. Maybe it is because of the nice german spelling, but it is not the only planet like this.
