"Novy" Moscva

So what's the problem with my edit to that article? Do you doubt the existence of Russian grammar, or is it not a welcome subject on the wiki? Why is on Andery Kerensky's page, then? — The preceding unsigned comment was posted by 188.166.9.215 (talk • contribs) .

Hello! I understand there may have been some confusion. While the first revert was done by Dmon, my action was simply a repeat of the same, as the content hadn’t changed. However, I’d be happy to clarify the issues with the edit.
  • Trivia Content: Typically, we avoid having a "Trivia" section. Instead, we use "Notes" to highlight notable statements within the page content, including citations as needed.
  • Original Research: The edit you added falls under "original research." This refers to material, like facts, allegations, or ideas, for which no reliable, published source exists. Original research can also include any analysis or synthesis of published material that reaches or implies a conclusion not directly stated by the sources.
  • Reliability of Sources: To avoid original research, any added information should be directly attributable to reliable, published sources that support the topic of the article. In short, content on BTW must come from a reliable published source, even if it’s not directly cited in the article.
  • Content Suitability: It's worth noting that your edit wasn’t necessarily incorrect; it simply doesn’t meet our wiki’s requirements for content. For example, the note you referred to has also been removed for similar reasons.
In cases like this, it’s understandable if things feel a bit unclear. However, you or others can ask the development team (via appropriate channels) for a clarification. If they provide a response that becomes a reliable published source, then your edit could indeed be an acceptable addition to the wiki, provided it directly supports the material. This has happened before with many translation errors found in BattleTech Content.

HI.

Hi, Deadfire. Why have you erased what I wrote about Cassius O'Reilly? — The preceding unsigned comment was posted by Fredericmora (talk • contribs) .

Where should I start?
  1. Your edit introduced factual inaccuracies, ranging from nonexistent dates to speculative assumptions not supported by the sources given.
  2. Beyond your barriers with English, your edit exhibited a lack of attention to detail, including your ongoing issues with spelling, grammar, and precision.
  3. Your edit did not maintain a neutral point of view, which is the fundamental norm of this Wiki.
These things have led to significant concerns over the reliability of this edit and your many other contributions repeatably, weakening the accuracy and integrity of the pages you edit and detract from the overall credibility of wiki. To put it in another way, you are very sloppy with facts and interpretation. You have been talked to at length many times before about these and other issues, there is no need for me to repeat the same stuff.

Hello, I just joined this awesome wiki and when reading through the new user tips post I discovered that the "manual of style" referenced as the formatting guide has been deleted from wikimedia, talk page about the deletion.--SmaugTheDragon (talk) 14:21, 14 February 2025 (EST)

Thank you for noticing, and letting us know! I haven't updated that template in a long while and obviously should--Deadfire (talk) 17:22, 14 February 2025 (EST)
