Overview
The Tokubetsu Chosa Jimusho or Office of Special Investigations is the Draconis Combine's special investigations wing. Formed by Urizen Kurita (27th c.) in response to vast corruption involved with the creation of the Imperial City on Luthien, the Tokubetsu Chosa Jimusho has never been a permanent organization. Answering directly to the Coordinator of the Draconis Combine, the Tokubetsu Chosa Jimusho is commonly formed when extraordinary investigative resources are required and the other intelligence agencies are ill-suited in the coordinator's eyes to serve this function. [3]
The office has never been formally dissolved since its founding, only pushed into dormancy until a Coordinator required it once more. In 3150, Coordinator Yori Kurita appointed Tozama Daimyo Russell Blaylock on 18th May as the Director of a revived and permanent Tokubetsu Chosa Jimusho after a conspiracy that almost claimed her life. It answered directly to the Coordinator, mandated to uncover conspiracies and corruption within the Draconis Combine. It was able to requisition support from the ISF as required. [2]
