Tigna Zatka was an officer of the Second Sword of Light.[1]
History
Tigna Zatka, on 3027, served on the Second Sword of Light regiment. On 1 March, he and three companies of the 2nd Sword launched an attack against the planet Pacifica, aiming to destroy the mercenary unit Kell Hounds, to avenge the humiliation the mercenaries had inflicted to the regiment during the Battle of Mallory's World (3013). However, the Combine commander delayed the assault after being informed of the imminent visit on rhe planet of the Hauptmann-General Sarah Joss and the Federated Suns Colonel Ardan Sortek, expecting to score a larger victory.[2]
However, the First Battle of Pacifica, as the Hounds later called it, didn't go as the kuritans expected: the Hounds expected them, so the 2nd Sword fell into a carefully laid trap, suffering heavy losses even before leaving their landing zone. Tigna assisted to the debacle inside his Overlord (DropShip class), but when his men had suffered six losses, he got out onboard his 'Mech. Without initially attacking the Hounds, stunned by the arrival of an assault 'Mech, Zatka slowly approached them, while he narrated his impressive list of combats and victories, and finally challenged any enemy to duel him. Ardan Sortek, piloting his Victor, accepted the offer. Both pilots fought a daring duel, which Sortek won, after causing massive damage to Tigna's 'Mech. The Awesome's reactor blew up, and Zatka barely managed to eject before his 'Mech was destroyed. Tigna's 'Mech destruction signaled the end of the battle: the surviving Kuritans' morale was broken, so they boarded their DropShips, unmolested by the victorious Hounds, and departed from the planet.[3]
