Technically Speaking is a short story that was published as introductory fiction for LosTech: The MechWarrior Equipment Guide.
Plot Summary
Burke, Paul and Fiona are mercenaries infiltrating a Clan facility in the Inner Sphere. Paul, the tech specialist is trying to get some data while Fiona and Burke cover him. They do engage a six-man patrol and also engage a Salamander battle armor. They manage to stall the Salamander suit and are able to escape, but barely. In the meantime Paul has been able to steal some Clan information which makes the mission a success.
