German Names For BattleMechs
Including alternate names for BattleMechs, etc from other languages is a great idea, since the BT Universe speaks a variety of languages. It is a little detail that is very characterful.
I have been collecting German-language printings of Technical Readouts (for instance, the Hardware Handbuch series), and I have been able to confirm most of these names. However, Technical Readout: 3058, when translated into German, retained the English names for BattleMechs. Where did these alternative names come from? Perhaps from some of the German-language novels? If anyone can clarify, and add citations, that would be awesome!--S.gage (talk) 08:29, 12 September 2024 (EDT)

- Be advised, however, that Ulisses officially abandoned the use of FanPro's "German" names in favor of using only the original names and alphanumericals fortwith no later than 2014. Frabby (talk) 19:28, 13 September 2024 (EDT)
