Typo?

Given its single mention anywhere I wonder if this is a typo for Argyle? Frabby (talk) 11:13, 18 April 2019 (EDT)

Well, it could be a typo carried forward through the three regurgitated entries of the Firestarter TRO entry, but it is specifically spelled the same way in First Succession War, so if it's a typo, it's a consistent typo across more than one source. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 13:27, 18 April 2019 (EDT)

Argile Skye plant destroyed during 2895 Battle of Skye?

I think the Argile Technologies factory on Skye was destroyed sometime between 2893 and 2895, during the Battle of Skye (2895). The FS9-M "Mirage" Firestarter was introduced in 2893, according to the MUL, and in TRO:3039 (pg. 110), it says it was only in production for 1 year before a "catastrophic battle laid waste to the plant and the Skye's capital". TRO:3025 (p.24) and TRO:3025R (p.24) both mention the same situation, with one minor difference, the original TRO:3025 stating the factory was destroyed in the "catastrophic "Night of Rage" which transformed Argile Technologies and most of Skye's capital into a desert waste", the revised version replaces the "Night of Rage" moniker with "battle". TRO:3039 (p.110.) and TRO:3050U (p.24) both note that the plant and company headquarters on Skye were destroyed during the Third Succession War. During the Battle of Skye, the 5th Sword of Light was defeated at the Battle of Bannockburn Bogs outside of New Glasgow (even tho it was a major defeat, the invasion of Skye continued for another 13 months), which is addressed in House Steiner (The Lyran Commonwealth) (pg. 69 "The Battle for Skye"), House Kurita (The Draconis Combine) (pg. 79-80) Dark Age: Republic Worlds (3130) (pg. 226), and Sorenson's Sabres (scenario pack) (pg. 8-10). There is a discrepancy in the years between the Sorensen's Sabres & House Kurita accounts and the others, placing the Battle of Skye earlier in 2893-2894 rather than 2895, with DCMS troops withdrawn in early 2894 (a minor detail coming from an early scenario pack published in 1987). Additionally, the House Steiner and Republic Worlds source books also mention that the defenders set off a tactical nuclear device to stop a DCMS thrust near Inverness, the effect would corroborate the description found in TRO:3025, TRO:3025R, and TRO:3039 under the variants section of the FS9-H Firestarter entry. The discrepancy here falls under the Sourcebook Fiction discussion stating "is naturally prone to inaccuracies, ignorance, bias and attempts at propaganda on the side of the alleged author".
