Sonja Crowell was a notable MechWarrior and company commander in the First Magistracy Highlanders during the Dark Age Era.[1]
History
In February 3146, Commander Crowell's company of the First Magistracy Highlanders arrived on Thraxa in pursuit of a suspected band of pirates. Instead, they encountered a force from the Marian Hegemony's VI Legio who happened to be seeking the same band of pirates. Fighting broke out before the two rival units could establish communication and both forces were reduced to half-strength when the pirates decided to strike. Crowell had her surviving BattleMechs form up and engage both hostile elements while waging a fighting retreat, although only a lance of Highlanders managed to make it off-world. While Crowell's rank was preserved after her industrialist family paid a significant sum to the Magistracy Armed Forces, an official reprimand was put on her record for the Thraxa affair.[1]
