The Smiling Suns was a staunchly patriotic veterans organization of the Tikonov Grand Union.[1]
History
Politically active during the formation of the Capellan Confederation, at one point the Smiling Suns decided to publicly withdraw their support of Franco Liao's pan-Capellan movement, and award a large silver trophy cup to a member of the independence minded Tikonov nobility. The presentation of the award during a event on Chisholm however did not go well, as the noble made a gaffe while trying to accept the token in the local Chisholian language, offending the members of the Smiling Suns.[1]
