Simpson's Delight was a leafy plant native to Simpson Desert. Discovered by the planet's first explorer, botanist Waldo Simpson, it stood out for its bittersweet leaves, which found Sphere-wide demand as a spice. The leaves were first used in a dish called Simpson Dessert, from which, through a bureaucratic error, the planet got its name.[1]
