SCRYE (Scrye Collectible Card Game Checklist and Price Guide) was gaming magazine that was published from 1994 to April 2009. It was the longest-running periodical to have ever reported on the collectible card game hobby. It was also the leading print resource for secondary-market prices on Magic: The Gathering. The name, a registered trademark, is adapted from a Middle English word meaning "to tell the future".
The magazine featured a number of BattleTech - and specifically, MechWarrior: Dark Age - articles.
Canonicity
Magazines are usually not counted among the sources for canon material, and SCRYE was not even an official BattleTech publication. However, the articles published in SCRYE were announced as exclusive MechWarrior fiction on the official MechWarrior: Dark Age Website; this official sanction marks the stories as published with official sanction, and thus fully canonical.[1]
