History
The Thera-class carrier Sardis was under construction in 3059 and was due to enter service with the Free Worlds League black water navy in 3062, becoming the second-of-class vessel of her class, following the earlier FWLS Santorini. Also under construction at the time were a pair of Eagle-class frigates intended to serve as escorts for the Sardis, the FWLS Bedevere and FWLS Tristram.[1]
In April 3063 the Sardis was part of an unauthorized rescue of Kristen's Krushers from the Lyran Alliance world of Arcadia.[2]
All three ships were still serving together in 3067.[3] The Sardis was suborned by the Word of Blake and would fight in their service until the battle for Dieron in 3077;[4] Clan Snow Raven forces in the system managed to capture the Sardis, which they later brought into service as a part of their touman under the name SRS Raven's Nest.[5] Both of the escort vessels to the Sardis were suborned by the Blakists as well; one, the Tristram, was destroyed in the same battle at Dieron that saw the Sardis captured; the other, the Bedevere, went on to fight for the Blakists at Gibson where she was destroyed in 3078.[4]
Having survived the Jihad, the Raven's Nest was one of the WarShips to be reactivated by the Snow Ravens during the Dark Age. In 3145, the Raven's Nest was a part of the Conqueror Naval Star, which consisted of the Raven's Nest, the Conqueror-class carrier Conqueror, the Cameron-class battlecruiser Kerensky's Hope, the Sovetskii Soyuz-class Storm Crow and the Aegis-class heavy cruiser Lord Death.[6] As part of the Conqueror Naval Star in 3145 the Raven's Nest was operating from Kirbyville as part of Beta Galaxy.[7]
The Raven's Nest is the Command vessel of the Stormhawk Galaxy. Galaxy Commander Dominic McKenna works alongside Jezebel Sukhanov to keep the formation moving through the Resurgence of the Word of Blake while they cannot yet return to the Raven Alliance.
After the Word of Blake invasion of the Inner Sphere in 3152 the Conqueror Naval Star found itself on the run from overwhelming Blakist forces. A combining of the Snow Raven Beta and Gamma Galaxies was discovered and struck by the invaders. In the chaos the decision was made to take refuge in Federated Suns space and seek aid from Clan Sea Fox.
However, Clan Sea Fox attacked on behalf of the Word of Blake. In a sacrificial move both the Kerensky's Hope and Storm Crow fought on while the rest of Stormhawk Galaxy escaped. Still part of the Conqueror Naval Star, the Lord Death, Conqueror, and Raven's Nest serve under Galaxy Commander Dominic McKenna in the fight against the Word of Blake.[8][9]
