Rudy Pinada was the commanding officer of the Second Davion Guards during the War of 3039.[1]
History
Colonel Pinada, commanding the First Kestrel Grenadiers, was stationed on Kestrel in 3025.[2]
By 3039, now-Marshal Pinada had been made commander of the Second Davion Guards and had been tasked with taking the Draconis Combine world of Altair during the latter half of the War of 3039. Unbeknownst to the Second Guards, Altair's primary defensive unit—the Eighteenth Dieron Regulars—had already departed the planet as part of a massive wave of Combine counterattacks, leaving only the planetary militia behind. After successfully taking the planet, Pinada received orders to return to the Federated Suns from Field Marshal Vanessa Bisla. Despite Pinada offering to retain control of Altair in order to launch future raids around and against Dieron, Bisla confirmed the unit's relocation to Addicks by way of Caph—without informing the unit that its home planet Fomalhaut and the hundreds of thousands of Second Guards dependents and veterans who lived there had been captured by the Combine.[1][3]
