History

He piloted a customized AWS-9Q Awesome during the Jihad. XO and ersatz bodyguard of unit CO Jeremiah Youngblood, Klatt's lumbering Awesome was the heaviest 'Mech ever deployed by the notably speedy Crescent Hawks and its lack of mobility stymied more than one grand plan during that conflict.^[1]

In July 3072, Rodney participated in a raid on Ruchbah to destroy a communications relay where they encountered resistance from elements of the 5th Division. Despite taking damage, the Hawks were able to complete their mission.^[3]^[4]
