Richard Fillion was a notable small craft commander in the Colonial Marshals during the Dark Age Era.[1]
History
AeroMarshal Fillion was known for piloting the only Oo-Suzumebachi troop carrier in the entire Colonial Marshals, which was personally presented to President Carver Trondel by the Coordinator of the Draconis Combine in 3119—alongside a company's worth of battle armor suits. When pirates attacked Independence and occupied the town of Salinas in 3124, the quick reaction force that included Fillion's aircraft responded to the incursion. Fillion flew combat air patrols to monitor the pirates' activities while preparing to drop battle armor troopers directly on top of them but was forced to release his cargo early so that they could eliminate a company of pirate tanks. Instead, Fillion flew above the pirates at dangerously low altitudes until he ran out of MRMs, ultimately dumping his remaining fuel on top of the resisting pirates before crash landing. Fillion was hospitalized for more than four months and his aircraft forced to undergo repairs for three months due to his actions but the inferno created by his dropped fuel successfully destroyed half of the pirates and enabled the Marshals to liberate Salinas.[1]
