Resurgence - Taurian-Suns Accord
Taurian-Suns Accord
This is a peace treaty established between Federated Suns First Prince Julian Davion and Taurian Concordat Protector Kaff Doru in November of 3152 to ensure that the 150 years of bad blood may finally come to an end. With the Resurgence of the Word of Blake in the forefront of the leader's minds, they got to work figuring out how to best deal with the situation and not worry about stabbing each other in the back.
Economic Impact
Firstly, the economy of the bordering worlds was unleashed. The Taurians could access the FedSun markets at will and vice versa with guarantees to prevent absurd markups. This applied to all markets, including military.
Border Garrisons
The border of the two nations had long been a problem area with the units being historically charged to lash out for nearly any reason or offense. Both leaders committed to rotating out units that had been stationed there for long periods of time. This would help to prevent easy flareups between worlds. This would also prevent overly aggressive searches of vessels now able to traverse the border and commence in trading.
Mutual Defense
This is the most restrictive measure in the peace treaty. Only in the most dire of circumstances could one nation call on the other for aid. This is also based on the dangers of the called upon nation. For example, if the Pleiades Cluster found itself under Blakist assault, then the Federated Suns border world garrisons could be called up. However, if the Blakists had taken New Avalon, the request would likely be denied. If the leader making the request and the leader making the answer could not agree, the request would be cancelled outright without an extended back and forth. This way neither side could try to keep escalating.
