Star Colonel Raphael Castillo was a MechWarrior, who served in the Scorpion Empire's Hellion Keshik, during the thirty-first and thirty-second centuries.[1]
History
Nueva Castile
A native of Aragon in Nueva Castile, Castillo was born in 3063, prior to his homeworlds conquest by Clan Goliath Scorpion in 3080. He went on however to be the only freeborn Castilian to win a Trial of Position to serve in the Scorpion's Hellion Keshik, holding that position for more years than almost any other warrior.[1]
Scorpion Empire
A mere MechWarrior within the Keshik's Charlie Star in 3096[2], prior to 3105 he had been rewarded for his peerless service with the founding of a Castillo Bloodhouse and becoming its first Bloodnamed warrior. In 3105 Castillo was promoted to Star Captain and command of the Hellion Keshik's Baker Star, and subsequently in 3114 advanced to Star Colonel, and deputy commander of the Keshik under SaKhan Sakmar Arbuthnot.[1]
ReKhan
In 3118 after being severely injured during a raid on the Hanseatic League, Castillo was elevated by Khan of Escorpión Imperio Enrico Kirov to be ReKhan of Aragon, administering his homeworld until his death in 3135. This came about when the 72 year old Castillo sallied forth with the local solahma garrison, to fight a pirate raid, downing an enemy Locust before his cockpit was overwhelmed by concentrated fire. In his memory, a statue known as Saint Raphael Rampant was erected, which depicted his last moments.[1]
BattleMech
Castillo was known to have initially piloted a Hellion A OmniMech.[2] Later in life he also piloted a Cazador BattleMech.[1]
