Colonel Randolph J. Thompson was the commander of the 13th Assault Regiment during the 4th Succession War.[1][2]
History
In August 3028, Randolph Thompson led the 13th Assault Regiment when it was assigned to attack the world of Marfik as part of Operation GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG. He would later report on back to General Nondi Steiner on the failures of Hauptmann-Kommandant Kathleen Heany during the Marfik campaign. Heany's refusal to follow the battle plan to chase down Tai-sa Theodore Kurita led to the loss of many soldier's lives from his unit on Marfik.[1][2]
