Quo Medical Technologies was the largest manufacturer of medical equipment in the Terran Hegemony and one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the Star League.[1]
Overview
Despite the company's importance to the Hegemony, from its very founding Quo Medical Technologies and the government of the Terran Hegemony had an uneasy relationship. Despite being owned by the Terran-based Jasper family and its official headquarters being located on Terra, Quo claimed that as it had opened its offices in Tharkad one day before its London office that technically it was a Lyran Commonwealth company and thus immune to the inclusion of its products and equipment on the Official List of Sensitive and Secret Technologies. The conflict raged for centuries until Quo Medical Technologies finally won in Star League courts.[1]
Despite this legal conceit, the bulk of Quo Medical Technologies' most important facilities were within the Hegemony and its products and equipment quickly became LosTech during the Succession War era, only piecemeal and incomplete blueprints and chemical diagrams remaining by the Third Succession War.[1]
