Peter Riskind was the Executive Officer of the Twenty-fourth Lyran Guards and mastermind of their evacuation from Cumbres in 3057, Riskind was promoted to command of the unit replacing his former commaner Orpheus Thomas. Considered self-righteous by many, he amply proved his critics right by choosing to surrender rather than sending his unit to a meaningless death during the Battle of Tharkad.[1]
