Prelude

The son of the Baron von Summit was killed in the Jade Falcon Incursion (unknown which) leaving the father distraught and eager for revenge.[1]

Overview

Leveraging his wealth, the Baron he hired an unknown mercenary command, supplied them with forged travel documents and transponder codes. The team intended to arrive in the Sudeten system and crash an automated freighter into the Genetic Repository. The Word of Blake learned of these plans and informed the Second Star Legue Intelligence Command. First Lord Christian Månsdottir approved a Fury Team and the Killer Bees to intervene in order to prevent a renewed war with the Clans.[1]

Carjo Yance proved essential in tracking the mercenaries down to an uninhabited system one jump from Sudeten, likely Deweidewd. A fierce battle took place between aerospace fighters as the Fury Team launched a battle armor assault on the JumpShip, managing to capture it just prior to the jump into Sudeten.[1][2][3]

Outcome

The operation was a success, with the Clans never learning of the plot.

Notes

  • Given the later actions of the Word of Blake it is entirely possible they helped facilitate the Baron's plot while simultaneously currying favor with the Star League by helping to prevent it.
