New Avalon News Daily is the merger of three companies, New Avalon Free Press, New Avalon Daily Federalist, and New Avalon Military Press. With the loss of the Hyperpulse Generator network on Gray Monday the businesses faced massive losses due to prohibitive access to information outside New Avalon. The Free Press faced massive stockholder doubt and the stock price crashed and the Daily Federalist found itself clamoring for new ideas and failing to excite readers. The New Avalon Military Press was able to thrive on the vast rumors around the Blackout. The rumor mill boosted them in popularity and all three boards of directors had a meeting that formed the three corporations into one.
Upon the announcement of the merger stock prices exploded, even during the depression of the general stock market after Gray Monday. Over the years since the loss of the HPG network this trio of companies under one umbrella has found its stride, even with the lack of consistent communications off world.
