Murray "Dingo" Simmonds was the commanding officer of a Taurian Defense Force Rapid Response Defense Company named Dingo's Wardogs during the Dark Age Era.[1]
History
Subaltern Simmonds was a pragmatic man who was more interested in keeping the soldiers under his command alive than he was in high-minded ideals. While patrolling the Taurian Concordat's border with the Federated Suns and fighting off pirate raids, Simmonds' unit favored diplomacy but developed a great amount of skill in laying down withering barrages of firepower before redeploying ahead of any enemy counterattack. While the Federated Suns was officially the Wardogs' primary opponent, Simmonds possessed a complicated relationship with a Davion colonel—sometimes cooperative when tackling pirate activity, sometimes hostile when facing each other. Further rumors stated that this tumultuous relationship could be explained by his personal associations with the colonel's sister, hence the pair's alternating states of cooperation and combativeness.[1]
