Michael McAlpine was a notable MechWarrior in the Kell Hounds mercenary command during the Jihad Era.[1]
History
McAlpine was recruited into the Kell Hounds in 3061 after being chosen ahead of several other promising soldiers but his murky past history with ComStar, combined with a loner personality, made many of his colleagues suspicious of him. McAlpine convinced both Daniel Allard and Akira Brahe of his loyalty to the Hounds but he was placed under further scrutiny following the outbreak of the Word of Blake's Jihad. Despite this, he remained a member of the Kell Hounds until the end of the conflict and successfully erased his comrades' suspicions while fighting for Cairo during the August 3078 invasion of Terra. The intelligence McAlpine gathered saved numerous Hounds from a Blakist trap but he never returned to friendly lines following the clash and his ultimate fate was undetermined as of 3150.[1]
