Michael Cendar was a politician from the Rim Commonality who served as its Prime Minister during the Thirty-second Century.
History
Cendar was elected as Prime Minister of the Rim Commonality in 3110.[2]
As Operation HAMMERFALL continued into 3138, Cendar contemplated annexing Westover and its aerospace manufacturing to give his state a vital advantage. Motivated by the Regulan Fiefs' duplicitous attempts to sabotage the Commonality's ties with nearby unaligned worlds, he ordered Force Commander Alethea Chowla to take the Defenders on a goodwill mission to Westover, expose the Regulan plot, and offer them a defense treaty.[3] The gambit paid off and Westover became the first of several unaligned worlds to join the Rim Commonality.[2]
He married Elis Halas-Hughes on 14 August 3138[4], and by July 3139 the couple would be expecting their first child.[5] An attempted assassination by Ayza Aborisha was foiled by Philip Hughes and Frederick Marik.[6]
Cendar would bring the Rim Commonality into the reborn Free Worlds League and contributed the First Rim Commonality Guard to Operation HOMECOMING.[7]
In 3151 and 3152, Cendar appreciated the addition of Regulan troops to his realm's security, but both he and Elise Marik supported Fontaine Marik's unauthorized war with the Marian Hegemony and believed it should have continued until the Hegemony's long-standing threat to their nation was eradicated.[8]
