Maya DelVillar was a Bloodnamed warrior and commander of the Ghost Bear Dominion's Eighth Bear Cuirassiers as of 3098.[1]
History
Star Colonel Maya and the Eighth Bear Cuirassiers were dispatched to the Draconis Combine world of Yamarovka on 14 September 3098 after Khan Aletha Kabrinski received word that Clan Nova Cat's Khan Santin West was present on-world. Ordered by her Khan to destroy all local Nova Cat forces and to kill Khan West, Maya made no attempt to bid down her forces and instead raced her entire Cluster towards the city of Chita. Unbeknownst to the Bears, the Black Dragon Society had utilized its operatives within the Combine's Internal Security Force to inform Khan Kabrinski of West's location and to inform Khan West of the imminent attack. After surrounding West and his Star of Elemental bodyguards within Chita, the Eighth Cuirassiers were caught by surprise when attacked from the rear by the Cat's Eye Cluster and the Nekoryu Keshik.[1]
The ensuing battle lasted for two hours until two Cuirassiers Stars penetrated the city's defenses and killed Khan West. West's decision to station the majority of his forces outside of the city—not having anticipated Maya's Bears to fight as hard as they did—proved to be fatal and the distraction of the Nova Cat leader's death enabled the Eighth Cuirassiers to board their DropShips and depart from Yamarovka.[1]
