Matthew Young was a notable officer in Hansen's Roughriders.[1]
History
Captain Young knew no home but Hansen's Roughriders. His great-grandfather fled the Federated Suns alongside Ludwig Hansen in 2961, his father stood with Gerhardt Hansen when the Roughriders were formed, and Young himself undertook his technical and MechWarrior training in the field with his family. Young was an exemplar of the Roughriders' "fight hard, drink harder" ethos and was always at the training yard or sim bays early every morning, even if he was nursing a hangover, bruises, or other souvenirs from the preceding night's carousing.[1]
