Mariko Ogawa was the commanding officer of Third Company, First Battalion of the Addicks Draconis March Militia during the late Succession Wars Era and Clan Invasion Era.[1]
History
Hauptmann Ogawa's ethnically Japanese origins made her a rarity within the Draconis March Militia brigade, as she was often forced to deal with aggression from both the Draconis Combine and her own comrades. Ogawa was also known for her abject refusal to acknowledge the new ranking system of the Federated Commonwealth which lead her to only respond to the rank of captain, regardless of who was speaking to her. Her superior officers considered this an indicator that Ogawa lacked adaptability, something that would have been fatal on the battlefield, leading her chances for further promotion to stall.[1]
BattleMechs
Hauptmann Mariko Ogawa piloted a -5S model Thunderbolt BattleMech during the late Succession Wars. In the Clan Invasion Era, she piloted a -9SE model Thunderbolt.[1]
