Description
An example of a typical large pressurized yard is one of numerous shipyards providing construction and repair facilities for black water vessels, these yards are most often found in large groups of related stations: factories, living habitats for workers, and cargo stations.[1]
In a so-called "shirt-sleeve" environment that can encapsulate the vessel being worked on, pressurized yards allow workers to forgo spacesuits, enabling faster work and production of higher quality goods. These are more rare and more costly than unpressurized yards. Most pressurized yards service Dropships, with very few big enough to hold Jumpships or even Warships.[1]
Weapons and Equipment
Yards are mostly unarmed and only thinly armored, relying on nearby defensive structures or the unwritten prohibition of destroying lostech.
Cargo
The Cargo Bays are used for processing and storage.[1]
- Bay 1: Small Craft (15), 4 doors
- Bay 2: Cargo (7,273.5 tons), 2 door
- Bay 3: Pressurized Repair Facility (350,000-ton capacity), 1 door
Related Stations
- Small Pressurized Yard - there is little difference between the pressurized yards besides the size of the vessel they can enclose in their dry dock and the corresponding size of their cargo capacity.
- Large Unpressurized Yard - unpressurized yards are cheaper to maintain, making them a more common option for indelicate work.
