Krista Presteck was a notable MechWarrior in the Thirteenth Atrean Dragoons during the Dark Age Era.[1]

History

When the invading forces of Clan Wolf hunted a company of the Thirteenth Atrean Dragoons on Rexburg, MechWarrior Presteck and her comrade MechWarrior Lindsey Klein volunteered to fight as a rearguard in order to ensure the escape of the rest of their unit. The two warriors openly broadcasted their intent to delay the Wolf attackers and, when Star Captain Bangalter bid his entire force of a Binary each of light BattleMechs and combat vehicles, Presteck enraged their opponent by cheerfully offering to wait until the Wolves could field more BattleMechs. The following "Battle of Rum Ridge" began with Presteck and Klein devestating the Wolf vehicle Binary from afar with their ELRMs, leapfrogging from cover to cover in order to stay out of attack range and handily defeating the lesser Binary. Ultimately, Presteck was knocked out of the fight when her 'Mech's leg was destroyed by the BattleMech Binary and Klein perished after eliminating the four surviving enemy 'Mechs on his own.[2][3]

Presteck was subsequently honored for her actions by earning adoption into Clan Wolf as a bondsman and the newly-christened MechWarrior Krista soon earned her way into the Clan's warrior caste. Krista's BattleMech was also restored and returned to service by the Wolves. She was last reported fighting against the Lyran Commonwealth during the 3143 Battle of Tharkad.[1]
