Knight Rourke Kerensky is a MechWarrior originating from Clan Wolf from before the Battle for Terra. While fighting for the Republic on Terra he took a bondsman, Nikki.
Knight Kerensky found himself within the walls of Fortress Republic, unsure of the future of the Republic of the Sphere. He continued to serve honorably in the Corps of Knights. When given the chance, he accompanied a raiding force into Wolf Empire territory. Fighting alongside the Hastati Sentinels they dealt significant damage to mech production facilities and military structures. In the process of the attack they took multiple prisoners and Battlemechs. The prisoners would only speak to Knight Kerensky and only after he challenged them to a Trial of Possession for their knowledge on Wolf Empire activity.
Not much information could be gathered other than the defenders they captured felt deserted and that the bulk of the Wolf forces were amassing elsewhere. Over time, Knight Kerensky had begun to feel trapped with the Republic and he developed a longing to return to the Clan. When the now Wolf Empire abandoned their OZ worlds that gave Kerensky some pause. However, seeing how Clan warriors were being left abandoned, the desire to return to the Clan faded. Somehow they had lost their way.
A glimmer of hope came as Clan Wolf attacked Terra, it made sense now why the Clan forces had been amassed. However, shortly after the fighting began Devlin Stone announced that Alaric Ward stated, "...I presumed you would defend it with all you have, and I intend to come at it with all I have. If I were to bid, it would be Clan Wolf. My entire Clan.” Kerensky requested to remain as rear guard to protect civilian locations to make a final decision on which side he would commit to.
Eleven days later Clan Jade Falcon arrived in the Terra system. It was clear that the only Clan that was close enough to determining the secrets of the Fortress Wall was Clan Wolf. Kerensky began to question how the Falcons found a way past the wall. Upon approach, when the Jade Falcons began attacking Republic forces, Kerensky volunteered to be part of a response task force to the Jade Falcons. His thinking was that he could battle the Falcons on behalf of his long time allies in the Republic, then make a decision on the main conflict.
Although, by the time the Falcons made landfall the Republic had determined that the Clans agreed not to fight each other and both would target the Republic of the Sphere. Upon learning this news, Knight Kerensky no longer felt any hesitation to defend the Republic at all costs. This dezgra tactic by both Clan Khans to violate the bidding agreement of the Wolves versus the Republic showed him that Alaric Ward was not fit to be Khan of Clan Wolf, ilKhan of the ilClan, nor First Lord of a new Star League.
After battling Jade Falcon forces on the European continent, he then met Wolf MechWarriors in the field and fought with devastating aggression. Infuriated by their Clan's dezgra conduct and that none challenged Alaric Ward to a Trial of Grievance for allowing Malvina to violate the bid of Terra, he destroyed a number of Clan Wolf Mechs, killing multiple Bloodnamed MechWarriors, as he fought alongside Republic warriors. Eventually he did take a bondsman, a female Clan Wolf MechWarrior named Nikki who had not earned a Bloodname yet.
As the closing days of the fighting between the two Clans and the Republic came, Knight Kerensky and his bondsman departed to the Nomad Republic fleet. They both left the home of humanity to move among the stars, leaving the ilClan to form after disgraceful conduct. Over time Bondsman Nikki began to understand Kerensky's perspective and after speaking with Fidelis warriors who agreed with him she found herself aligned with the Nomads and fully ready to serve alongside Knight Kerensky in her Warwolf, typically the 'C' variant.
BattleMech

His Battlemech of choice is a Night Wolf that he brought with him from Clan Wolf. Winning the assault mech in a Trial of Possession as a young ristar, he desired to one day return to Terra at least as part of the IlClan. Desiring to know more about humanity's homeworld he volunteered for the Republic's program to bring in exceptional MechWarriors to join the Republic of the Sphere's Corps of Knights.
