Kit deSummersVille was the commanding officer of the of the First Canopian Light Horse as of 3064.[1]
History
Colonel deSummersVille, serving with the First Canopian Light Horse, commanded a joint-deployment to Brixtana and Altorra in 3064. deSummersVille had worked hard to ensure the First Light Horse remained dedicated to the Magistracy of Canopus, although he shared in their dismay at the creation of new Magistracy Armed Forces units in lieu of rebuilding the Chasseurs á Cheval's fourth regiment. To compensate, deSummersVille made sure that every complaint the First Light Horse had was properly documented, demonstrating the unit's continued loyalty while still providing his men with a way of venting their frustrations.[1] By 3067, deSummersville continued to command the First Light Horse and was stationed on Pleione.[2]
Following the Jihad, deSummersVille was being considered for a promotion to command of the Chasseurs á Cheval brigade and had begun grooming Force Major Anthony Corate as his replacement following the death of Darlene Ishora in a 3083 training accident.[3][4] By 3085, deSummersVille still held command of the First Light Horse and was stationed on Joppa.[5]
