Kevin Awano was the commanding officer of the Eighth Sword of Light as of 3054.[1]
History
Tai-sa Awano, serving with the Eighth Sword of Light, was was stationed on Chatham in 3054.[1] By 3059, Awano continued to command the Eighth Sword and was still stationed on Chatham. Awano was a decorated warrior—having been awarded the Warders of the Dragon alongside being granted command of the Eighth Sword—whose greatest priority in 3059 was to rebuild his unit following the transferal of half of his warriors to the Sword of Light brigade's understrength regiments. Awano was also clashing with his executive officer Moki Nagoya on a regular basis, although he requested that Coordinator Theodore Kurita allow him to satisfy his sense of honor by handling Nagoya's borderline insubordination personally.[2]
Following Operation BULLDOG and the First Combine-Dominion War, Awano retained command of the Eighth Sword and was stationed on Schuyler by 3067.[3]
